Memo from the Museum Curator


Re: Trivia Night Date Change


At the March 6, 2023 meeting of the Recreation and Culture Standing Committee the following resolution was passed:

"That the memo from the Museum Curator be received;

And that committee approve the substitution of the April 7th date with March 31, 2023 for the museum’s Trivia Nights as “Municipally Significant Events”.

And that this item be forwarded to the next regular meeting of council for approval."

Re: Memorial Wall Inductee Proposal for 2023


As this matter deals with personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees, as per section 239 (2)(b) of the Municipal Act it may be discussed in closed session.

Re: Arts on the Trail Event in 2023


At the March 6, 2023 meeting of the Recreation and Culture Standing Committee the following resolution was passed:


"That the report from the Director of Recreation and Culture be received;

And that Staff be directed to secure community group(s) to present the Arts on the Trail event in 2023;

And that The City serve as a sponsor of the event at an upset limit of $3,000 cash plus in-kind donation of the Collins Hall for the duration of the event."

Re: Kiwanis Skate Park and Tennis Courts


At the March 6, 2023 meeting of the Recreation and Culture Standing Committee the following resolution was passed:


"That the Report from the Director of Recreation and Culture be received;

And that staff is directed to apply for a donation to contribute towards renovation Option 1."

Report from the Direct of Finance and Treasurer Re: 2023 User Pay Budget (Water and Waste Water)


At the March 7th, 2023 Ad Hoc Budget Committee Meeting the following resolution was passed:


That the report of the Director of Finance & Treasurer re: 2023 User Pay Budget be received;


And that the 2023 Ad Hoc Budget Committee approve the 2023 User Pay Budget as presented;


And that the necessary bylaw be forwarded to Council for adoption.

Being a by-law to authorize the execution of the Transfer Payment Agreement for the Safe Restart Agreement Phase 4 Funding for Municipal Transit. 

Being a by-law to authorize a Funding Agreement with the Ministry of Transportation under the Dedicated Gas Tax Funds for the Public Transportation Program.

Being a by-law to adopt the estimates for the sums required during the year 2023 for the Water and Wastewater Plant (User Pay) Operations, and to set 2023 Water Rates, and to amend By-law No. 84-28.

Being a By-Law to Confirm the Proceedings of Council at its Meeting held on Monday, March 13th, 2023.
